Terms of Use
Note. The full End-User License Agreement is presented and accepted inside the App on first launch. This page reproduces those terms for reference and for the Microsoft Store listing. If anything here differs from the version shown in the App at install time, the in-App version you accepted governs.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using an application published by LITTLEBITOFPERIL AI LLC (“the Software”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
2. License
LITTLEBITOFPERIL AI LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on devices you own or control, for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and the terms of the store through which you obtained it.
3. AI-generated content — accuracy disclaimer
The Software uses artificial intelligence to generate text, summaries, citations, code, and images. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, biased, or simply wrong. It may state false information confidently or fabricate sources. You are responsible for independently verifying any output before relying on it, especially for academic, professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety-related purposes. The Software is a tool to assist your work, not a substitute for your own judgment.
4. Academic integrity
Aura and our other study tools are intended to help you learn, research, organize, and revise your own work. Submitting AI-generated work as your own may violate your institution's academic-integrity rules. You are solely responsible for complying with those rules. The Software is designed to support learning, and it will decline to simply write graded work on your behalf.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Software to create or distribute unlawful, harmful, harassing, infringing, or deceptive content, to attempt to defeat its safety features, or to violate the rights of others.
6. Third-party services
Certain features (web search, page retrieval, academic-database lookups) send requests directly from your device to third-party services. Your use of those results is also subject to those services' own terms. LITTLEBITOFPERIL AI LLC does not control and is not responsible for third-party services or content.
7. “As is” — no warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LITTLE BIT OF PERIL AI LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR ACADEMIC OR PROFESSIONAL STANDING, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
9. Modified versions
The Software runs locally and its files reside on your device. LITTLEBITOFPERIL AI LLC is not responsible for the behavior, security, or output of any copy of the Software that has been altered, patched, repackaged, or otherwise modified after installation.
10. Updates
We may release updates that add, change, or remove features. Updates are delivered through the store you installed from.
11. Termination
This license ends if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using and remove the Software. Sections 3, 7, 8, and 9 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LittleBitOfPeril AI LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific governing-law and dispute-resolution terms are stated in the in-App agreement.
